Peter is currently Managing Director of the Company and has more than 40 years of petroleum engineering related experience, most notably employed by Shell International, 8 years and BHP Petroleum, 16 years. He has held positions as engineer, technical manager, project manager, academic and consultant, and in general management, including member of management boards, BHP Petroleum and AED Oil. His expertise is in field development planning and reservoir management, including probabilistic resources and reserves estimation, economic evaluation and specialised reservoir engineering and production areas, including modelling and simulation. Peter has been Project Manager for three FPSO projects, Skua and Griffin, planning phase and Puffin, implementation phase.

Since establishing the Company in 2003, he has engaged in numerous consulting activities, primarily related to project management and field development. In the last 10 years alone, he has conducted 95 short courses, exceeding 460 training days, workshops and seminars in the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern regions. Peter has led core-related research since 2002, first while Professor and Head of School at the School of Petroleum Engineering and Management at the U of Adelaide and more recently in commercialising this research. He has published more than 60 technical and managerial papers. He is a distinguished lifetime SPE member and was the SPE Regional Director for Asia-Pacific, serving on the SPE Board of Directors in the late ‘90s.

Tony has more than 40 years experience and is currently an independent consultant, being associated with the Company as an advisor since 2015. During his long-term employment with Core Laboratories, he managed and supervised laboratories in six locations: London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Perth, Ho Chi Minh City.

His involvement in research and design of laboratory procedures and equipment has led to publication and presentation of more than 40 technical papers, industry talks, technical notes and articles. He has taught the use of laboratory instrumentation to purchasers of CoreLab throughout Asia and the Middle East. Tony also lectured to the industry, giving courses and seminars in 18 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He was Chairman of CoreLab’s worldwide Core Analysis Development committee, 2005-8 and led the CoreLab Australia group in achieving ISO-9001 status. Tony has been seconded as a direct consultant to many clients on subjects as diverse as reserves estimation and formation damage.

Spencer has more than 40 years of industry experience and is currently an independent consultant, associated with the Company since 2016. His career in the upstream petroleum industry has been varied and international: GALP Energy, Portugal, Chief Geologist (2012-15); Qatar Petroleum, Consultant and Head of Exploration (2011-12); SASOL, South Africa, Technical and Asset Manager (2007-10); BHP Billiton Petroleum, Australia and UK, various technical and technical management roles (1997-2006); Chevron, USA, mainly technical roles (1979-96).

He managed and supervised many projects in diverse locations: West Grimes gas field development, California; Port Arguello heavy oil development, offshore California; exploration and development projects in Nigeria; Tengiz field early development and Korolev appraisal, Kazakhstan; Nkossa field development and Moho and Bilondo exploration, offshore Congo; PNG divestment and Bayu-Undan LNG development, Australia; Ohanet acquisition, appraisal and development, Algeria; Pande development, Pande and Temane gas plant expansion and near field exploration, Mozambique; Pre-Khuff (HP/HT) exploration for multiple blocks and operators, Qatar; Coral and Mamba appraisal, Mozambique; Blocks 14/32 exploration and development, Angola; exploration and appraisal onshore and offshore Brazil.

Cao received his PhD in Computer Science and Computational Biology from the University of Colorado in Denver. Subsequently, he was engaged as a postdoctoral fellow for 3.5 years at the Virginia Commonwealth University where he developed novel machine learning algorithms, including fuzzy cognitive mapping, clustering and spiking neural nets to identify genetic interactions in complex genetic diseases, i.e. Downs Syndrome.

Cao was appointed as an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Western Australia in 2011. At UWA, he was involved with high-level computational analyses of genetic data and its integration, specifically gene expression and phenotypic information of complex diseases. One of his research efforts involved the testing of type 1 diabetes, also highlighted on ABC television and in University news. In 2014, he took employment as a senior analyst with the WA Department of Health, developing statistical models and specialised data analysis algorithms. Dr. Nguyen has authored over 30 research articles and conference papers and holds one patent.

Kevin is an independent consultant and Chartered Professional Engineer with more than 40 years of experience in the well construction sector, joining the Company as an Associate in 2021. Kevin is currently Technical Director of Well Engineering – AWT International. He commenced his career with BHP Petroleum working throughout Australia and Asia, primarily in well completions and production technology.

Kevin has worked on a wide range of projects from onshore oil exploration and development projects to major offshore subsea and fixed structure developments. In 1996, he co-founded Advanced Well Technologies (AWT) Engineering Consultancy with Cameron Manifold with AWT being the pre-eminent well construction consultancy in the Asia Pacific region for over 20 years. He has technical expertise across production technology: well completions, drilling and well integrity and provides expert services. He is a lifetime member of SPE and has been serving on the AP Regional Technical Advisory Committee since 2013, receiving a Regional Service Award in 2016.

Rahman has more than 15 years experience in the petroleum industry and academia and is currently employed by the Asia Pacific University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has been associated with the Company since 2018, including casual employment. His areas of interest are in geomechanics, artificial intelligence and automation.

He has six years of field experience in well operations in Iran, predominantly carbonate formations and has expertise in the geotechnical area, especially petroleum applications. Rahman has also more than eight years of lecturing experience. He received his PhD from Montanuniversität Leoben, AUT related to coring, after having completed his Master’s degree in petroleum engineering at Curtin University, AUS. Rahman has published many technical papers, covering topics in drilling, geomechanics and coring. He has authored a book entitled “Coring Methods and Systems” and a book chapter in “Artificial Intelligent Approaches in Petroleum Geosciences” (Springer).

Cameron is an independent consultant, recently joining the Company as an Associate and bringing 33 years of Industry experience in the Well Engineering and field development sectors. Through his career he has worked for a wide range of companies both in staff roles and as a consultant, from small private companies to large IOCs and NOCs. He co-founded Advanced Well Technologies Engineering Consultancy with Kevin Lay with AWT being the pre-eminent well construction consultancy in the Asia Pacific region for over 20 years (1996 – 2012).

Cameron has worked on a wide range of projects from onshore oil exploration and development projects through to major offshore ultra-high-rate subsea gas developments. He has technical expertise across production technology , well completions, drilling and well integrity. Cameron combines these skills and knowledge in the early identification of appropriate well construction technologies to maximise performance of greenfield developments and brownfield refurbishment projects. He maintains a strong focus on operational and OHS HSE risk mitigation on all projects he manages.

Alan is currently an independent consultant with more than 40 years of experience and has been an associate of the Company since 2019. He is a highly experienced petrophysicist and is well versed in many aspects of upstream petroleum engineering. Alan commenced his career with Shell (including ADCO), and after 10 years he joined Hamilton Oil Co for the next 10 years. Subsequently Alan worked for four years for BHP Petroleum in Vietnam. Since 1998 he has been mostly an independent consultant, working initially for 3 years for Shell on contract, then again as an employee for 14 years, followed by independent consulting in petrophysics for several companies.

Most of Alan’s experience has been in the North Sea in petrophysics and technical management: notably Dunlin field equity determination; formation evaluation for Bruce, North Ravenspurn (NR) and Crawford fields; and reservoir management team leader for NR and Johnston fields. His experience includes several foreign assignments, on location and in study teams: notably establishment of an operational petrophysics section in Abu Dhabi (ADCO), petrophysical studies (Shell HQ) for Turkey, Oman and Gabon; petroleum operations and management team leader (BHP) for the Dai Hung field (on location) in Vietnam, as well as petrophysical input to multidisciplinary study teams (Shell HQ) for Oman, Norway, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.

Phil has more than 15 years experience in the petroleum industry and academia and has been employed by the Company since 2014. After receiving his BSc degree from HCM City U of Technology (HCMUT) in Vietnam, he was sponsored for postgraduate studies by Santos Petroleum at the U of Adelaide. After his studies, he worked initially at HCMUT and then joined the CUU LONG Joint Operating Company in Vietnam before being sponsored by the Company for migration to Australia.

Phil’s expertise is in reservoir engineering, reservoir management and production, and computer programming. He has been responsible for leading the initial development effort related to the Company’s Integrated Core Data Modelling System (ICDMS) and is currently a key team member in finalising the first phase of the software development.

Kevin started with the Company in 2016 as an intern then became employed as a Reservoir Engineer, now a Software Developer. Currently, he is part of the team with focus on the development of the Integrated Core Data Modelling System (ICDMS). Kevin holds a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Adelaide (Australian School of Petroleum) and a Master degree in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology. Kevin’s expertise is in computer programming, web application, petroleum reservoir engineering and core analysis.

David obtained his PhD from the Virginia Commonwealth University, USA in Computer Science and has other degrees from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) in Vietnam. David has been a lecturer in Vietnam since 1991 and is currently employed by the HCMC Open University. His interests are in developing new software algorithms and in AI.

David has been with the Company on a part time basis since April 2021, programming software modules for the ICDM System.

Trevor has more than 20 years experience in the petroleum industry and academia and has been employed by the Company since 2018. Obtaining his BSc degree in petroleum engineering from HCM U of Technology (HCMUT) in Vietnam, he commenced work for Chevron Vietnam as a petroleum engineer, and earned a MSc in petroleum geoscience from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, being sponsored by Chevron. Subsequently, he worked for Chevron Thailand and joined the university in Vietnam (HCMUT) as visiting lecturer in drilling and petroleum production. His work has covered many facets related to field development, planning for new developments, and managing producing fields, including production operations.

Trevor established the Company’s website and is leading the commercialisation of ICDMS. He is con-currently studying for his PhD in Hydrogen Geo-storage at Edith Cowan U in Perth, being partially sponsored by the Company.

Andre De Leebeeck has over 40 years of diverse experience in the petroleum industry. Being currently an independent consultant, he has advisory positions and associations with several entities, including Bear and Brook Consulting. His last fulltime positions were in Calgary: VP/ Director Investor Relations with Athabasca Oil Corp (2012-14) and Senior Operating Officer for Value Creation Inc (2008-11). Andre had a long and distinguished career with Total SA (1977-2008), with numerous international assignments: Europe, Africa, US and Canada, in both technical and managerial roles, most recently as VP Thermal Projects (Calgary, 2006-2008).

He is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta, and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors with ICD.D status.

Hemanta has more than 40 years of experience and is currently Professor of Oil and Gas Engineering at U of Calgary. He has been an associate of the Company since 2020. His experience is diverse and international, covering academia, applied R&D, consulting and the petroleum industry. He has been Chairman and Professor of the PE Department at the Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi and was Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the U of Adelaide (UA), AU. Hemanta was the founding Director of the Centre for Improved Petroleum Recovery at the UA.

Prior to moving to academia, he held senior research positions at the Alberta Research Council (ARC) in Canada, served as an Invited Research Advisor at the Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC), including EOR projects and worked as a reservoir engineer for India’s two national oil companies, ONGC and OIL. He has published extensively in reservoir engineering, most notably EOR and has held many EOR short courses, internationally. Hemanta is an Honorary SPE member and was awarded the SPE DeGolyer Distinguished Service Medal in 2019.

Hai Hung is currently an associate of the Company and is studying at the U of Queensland towards a Masters in Information Technology.

He has more than 14 years petroleum industry experience and was most recently employed by Oil Search for 10 years as a field production and reservoir surveillance engineer in their PNG operations. He started his career with Weatherford in 2007 after graduating from the U of Adelaide with a B Sc, first class honors in petroleum engineering. Other employment was TRUenergy and Sinopec in reservoir engineering.

Sam has more than 20 years of experience and has been employed by the Company since 2020. His experience has been primarily in the petroleum industry: international service companies, consulting firms and E&P corporations. His expertise is in dynamic reservoir simulation and integrated production modelling (IPM).

Most recently with ExxonMobil, through its affiliates Esso Australia and ExxonMobil Iraq (United Arab Emirates and Iraq), Sam held various positions in the field of technical and computing support, in Australia, the Asia-Pacific and the Russian Federation Eastern Region. He worked as a reservoir simulation and surveillance expert and integrated modelling on a variety of projects, in Australia, PNG, Russia, and Iraq. Sam delivered various formal training courses in Malaysia and Russia, covering IPM. He was responsible for maintenance of upstream computing systems and his last position with ExxonMobil was in the role of Upstream Business Process specialist. Prior to joining ExxonMobil and following his time with Schlumberger, he worked as a reservoir engineering consultant in Perth and has taught various petroleum engineering courses at the U of WA. He has a PhD from the U of Adelaide, studying Core Data Analysis and Modelling.

Akim has more than 30 years of experience in industry and academia. He is currently a petroleum engineering consultant based in Brisbane, engaged with BeicipFranlab’s Reservoir Engineering group in Asia. More recently he was a PE consultant with Saudi Aramco (2013-2020) in gas reservoir management, including full field modelling, development planning, production and ongoing optimization, and reservoir studies. He was a consultant reservoir engineer with the BG Group, Brisbane (2010-2013), overseeing well testing, reservoir surveillance, well deliverability and completion efficiency.

Akim started his career in 1987 as a stimulation engineer with CSIRO Australia, involved in petroleum pipeline network modelling and computer simulation. He was a reservoir engineer with Esso Australia (1992-1996) and held various senior production and reservoir engineering (surveillance) roles with Petronas Malaysia (1996-2004): reservoir management, and well and integrated field optimization, considering stimulation, workovers, artificial lift, water control. Akim holds a PhD from Curtin University in Petroleum Engineering, and was a senior lecturer at the University (2004-2009), teaching all aspects of production and reservoir engineering, and engaged also in R&D.

Alex currently works for TotalEnergies - TEPMA Mozambique, LNG Houston, Singapore, Brazil and Norway. He has more than 40 years of international experience, including West and East Africa, Australia, Asia and the UK Sector of the North Sea. His experience covers all aspects of subsea system design, including field development planning and system installation, operational management and decommissioning. System optimisation, high reliability and cost-effective solutions are at the forefront of Alex’s operational skill set.

Alex has broad experience in the coordination and execution of green-field and brown-field subsea projects. Alex’s subsea project and operations engineering track record includes trees, manifolds, HIPPS, Flowlines and subsea control systems in areas of design, manufacturing, QA, offshore supervision, campaign planning and project management. He has extensive supervisory experience onboard MODUs, DSV/ISVs and light ROV vessels at operator level. He was employed by two subsea system manufacturing companies in the early years of his engineering career and for the past 30 years has worked as an in-house subsea engineering consultant at BHPB, (Melbourne, Perth and London), WMC, Woodside Energy, Esso Australia, ExxonMobil Angola, Nexus Energy, Husky China, Anadarko and TotalEnergies.

Chris Carra is currently with AMOG Consulting and has close to 35 years of experience. He has been a director since 2005 and served as chairman of AMOG from 2012 to 2018. Before joining AMOG, he held senior positions with BHP Billiton (petroleum) in both, project engineering and strategic planning areas.

Recently he has been heavily involved in developing AMOG’s Integrity Management capabilities and playing a significant role with FAR Ltd on their deep water RSSD project offshore Senegal.

Keith has more than 40 years of global upstream oil and gas experience in technical and management positions with major and independent companies. When combined with his ability to distil complex problems into their fundamental component parts, Keith’s both broad and detailed technical knowledge has enabled the multidisciplinary teams he has led to develop robust and fit for purpose field development solutions. Keith has further broadened his capabilities into the commercial arenas of gas and LNG marketing and company management.

Experience includes project management and petroleum engineering covering a broad variety of petroleum resources including Mako shallow gas field offshore Indonesia, Oil and gas fields offshore India and Malaysia, the North West Shelf LNG Project, the Scarborough gas field and Griffin oil field offshore Western Australia, Crux, Challis, Jabiru, Skua and Montara Oil and gas fields in the Timor Sea, the Elang Oil field in the ZOCA, the various gas fields in the Otway Basin on and offshore Victoria, various oil and gas fields in the Bass Strait offshore Victoria and various oil and gas fields onshore and offshore of the Netherlands. Keith has also acted as a reserve assessment consultant for a leading Australian bank.

Chris has close to 35 years of international experience and is currently employed by OMV as a Drilling Manager. He has been a Drilling and Workover Manager with a strong well engineering and drilling project management background working for the operator and the rig contractor on floating rigs, jack-ups and land rigs in the international arena UK North Sea, South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Australasia and New Zealand working variously as Senior Drilling Supervisor, Well Engineering Lead, Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Project Manager, Well Delivery and Workover Department Manager.

In the past, Chris worked for a number of companies, various positions, the key ones as follows: Drilling Project Manager / Drilling Superintendent / Senior Drilling Engineer (Origin Energy, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand); Senior Drilling Engineer (Brunei Shell Petroleum); Rig Manager / Asst Rig Manager, Snr Drilling Engineer, GlobalSantaFe (Qatar, Egypt, Myanmar, Singapore shipyard); Rigsite Drilling Supervisor (Woodside Mauritania, Marathon Gabon); Drilling Operations Engineer (Shell Expro Central Fields Unit, Shell Thailand); Wellsite Drilling Engineer (Shell Expro Central Fields Unit, UK North Sea).

Brian has more than 40 years of international experience related to well construction, specializing in well completion/ workover and well testing and design. He has been an independent consultant since 1996 and is currently engaged by OXY (USA).

In the past Brian has had many engagements in deepwater offshore Africa, especially Angola, working for Total, BP and BHP Petroleum. Of particular relevance, he has been involved with deepwater, high-rate gas well completions for Total, Anadarko located in Houston or on location in Africa. He worked as an engineer and at times taking on a lead role. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, his longest employment was with BHP Petroleum, working in Australia and Africa in well construction. Before that time, he worked for Santos as a Petroleum Engineer and with Dowell Schlumberger as a Field Engineer.

Jim has more than 35 years of varied experience, in particular related Australian basins. Since 2002, he worked as an independent consultant, then for two years as Senior Petroleum Systems Analyst for Woodside, and afterwards he worked for 3D-Geo P/L as Manager for Petroleum Geochemistry and Basin Modelling until his initial retirement in 2017.

During his career, Jim studied many basins related to petroleum exploration, including many international locations, particular in the Indo-Pacific region, Southeast Asia and Africa. Especially relevant, he has extensively studied the Bonaparte basin for many years, working for BHP Petroleum, Santos, Petronas, British Gas and Woodside Energy. He has authored and contributed to numerous technical publications.

Charles has had a very diverse career of more than 40 years, and is currently assisting potential clients in the region on the pursuit of FSRU’s, Power Barges and small scale LNGC as shuttle and bunkering vessels. He is also active as a Technical Advisor and Consultant to ADX Energy for the production of green hydrogen, sequestration and recovery.

For many years and projects, Charles was involved with hands-on knowledge and expertise covering Conceptual and FEED projects and has been heavily involved with Engineering Management related to Project Execution, Conversion, Commissioning and Startup activities. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Charles had key roles with the Keppel shipyard in Singapore for many years, and has also worked for major operators, BHP Petroleum and others. He worked on solutions related to both, onshore and offshore oil and gas projects with respect to FPSO’s, FLNG, FSRU, LNG bunkering and other related LNG solutions, and alternative fuels. He has been involved in in-house training.
